In less than an hour’s drive from Berlin you can get to the Schorfheide Wildlife Park which harmonises snugly with the surrounding Barnim landscape. It is situated in the largest close forest area in Germany – the Biosphere Reserve Schorfheide-Chorin. You can tour the Wildlife Park’s 7 km (4 mi) long network of walking trails combined with rest and picnic areas on foot, bike or in a horse-drawn carriage, which offers you relaxation in nature as well as an instructive leisure activity. Dogs kept on leads are welcome. Big game and rare old domestic animal breeds that are threatened by extinction can be watched in spaciously laid-out enclosures. The park has been designed barrier-free to fit the needs of people with disabilities. People in wheelchairs get to all enclosures on paved trails.
Our park is especially attractive for families with children. Our petting area offers plenty of hands-on fun with the animals. Children enjoy romping around in our big playground. Guests are welcome to relax and enjoy a good meal in our visitors’ centre or in our “Little Village” with field oven and campfire.
