Bergisches Land Local destinations, sights and Places to visit

The Bergisch land is a region rich in tourist attractions in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The highest point of the Bergisch land lies on the Homert, a hill located just under 520 meters next to Gummersbach. The region consists of the Niederbergisch Land with its rolling hills, the Oberbergisch Land located in the southern part and the Bergisch Städtedreieck, which consists of the cities of Wuppertal, Solingen and Remscheid.
With his numerous excursions in the natural sights, castles and also Old Town, the Bergisch Land has always been a natural recreational area and frequented destination for short breaks.
For relaxation and harmony with nature speaks the Bergisch Heimatlied, here it is:
"Where are the forests in yet, the nightingale sings, the mountains rise high, the anvil is heard."
