To the light house and back through the jungle of the Darß
Directly on the light house Darßer Ort, close to Prerow, on the island Darß, the NATUREUM is located. This museum of natural history in the national park "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft" houses exhibitions about the natural landscape Darßer Ort, about the Baltic Sea coast and about the animals of the region and the scenario "Darß-forest at night" with crepuscular forest inhabitants. The Baltic Sea aquaria, the beach and dune garden, a humid biotope and the accessible light house reward the visitors for the walk through the "jungle" of the Darß - because the NATUREUM is only accessible by food, bike or horse carriage.
