The bird park Niendorf is a gem for connoisseurs and a popular tourist destination. Located in a natural wetland, the park offers a natural environment for egrets, herons, flamingos, pelicans, storks and other marsh and water birds. But even living parrots, pheasants, hornbills, more exotic, vultures and owls of the largest collections here have found a home.
The bird park is home to about 1,000 birds in Niendorf about 250 different species. An approximately two miles of trails leading to picturesque ponds, reed-fringed thatched enclosures and animal houses over.
